Doug Glicken was born and raised in Florida and has grown up in the Central Florida area. He was first introduced to and came to love jazz music by his father, Carl Glicken, who was the general manager of the local jazz radio station, WLOQ. Since early childhood, jazz music was a staple at the Glicken household and with his growing appreciation of jazz, Doug started out at a young age trying to see as many great performances as possible and has been lucky enough to see such legends as Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Maynard Ferguson, Aretha Franklin, Al Jarreau, Paquito D’Rivera, , Earl Klugh, Jesse Cook, Diana Krall, Toots Thielemans, Eliane Elias, Gregory Porter, George Benson, and Les Paul, to name a few.

With this love of jazz, it became important to Doug to make sure that the our current as well as future generations be given the same opportunity to experience this Great American Art form and develop the same appreciation and love of the music. That naturally led to Doug becoming a member of the Central Florida Jazz Society and then, as a Board member, offering his services as an attorney to help navigate any legal questions that may occasional arise.
